I want to change the icon that DO uses for files when there is no registered type i.e the icon with the underlined f. It looks way too much like the folder icon for my liking. I have got the instructions for creating an icon set but don't know which icon to replace (or even if I can since all references seem to talk about toolbar icons).
That icon comes from the system. There's no official way of changing it that I know of, but the various custom icon packages (eg Icon Packager) let you do it.
You can also do it through the registry - see regxplor.com/tweak36.html for more information.
I don't think it does. I've never seen it before installing DO and using Change Icon on a file type I found it in dopus.exe It has a lower case f underlined with a red bar.
Ok, that's actually a bug in the earlier releases of Opus 9 - if you upgrade to 9.0.0.6 this is fixed now.
