How do I get search to work like regular Windows?

Hi there,
I have loved Directory Opus for years...but one feature that I haven't figured out, is how the search is supposed to work?

For some reason the regular Windows search is far superior...I type a word...it searches for that word..and invariably finds the file.

In DirectoryOpus I use find..there are millions of options..but no matter what I try...it doesn't return anything "No results were found"

Is there a reason Windows search actually works better? I assume I'm probably doing something wrong...but it has occurred for me on multiple computers and multiple versions of Opus. If I just want to search for a file...like the regular Windows search..what options should I be choosing? Thanks for any clues at all.

You can use Windows Search from Opus, via the search field at the top right.

If another mode of searching isn’t finding what you expect, we need more details of how you configured the search and the file that should match but didn’t (or vice versa). It usually comes down to the wrong parameters in the Find panel.

Thanks Leo...I hadn't actually noticed that before..that works a treat...thank you.

One day I'll have to study the tutorials on the other search...but thank you!
