How does Dopus Portable recognize its USB dongle?

I am using Dopus Portable with my USB stick as a license dongle. For certain reasons, I will have to reformat the USB stick from FAT32 to NTFS.

Will this break the stick's ability to serve as a USB dongle for Dopus?

If it does, is the only way to restore the USB stick as a dongle for Dopus to do a fresh export from the installed version of Dopus, or are there any other ways?

If you reformat the stick you'll need to do a USB export from Opus to set it up again.

Thanks, Jon.

Unfortunately, my dongle was not recognized anymore by Opus this morning when I booted up my PC.

The dongle had worked yesterday until I shut down the PC. The only thing I had tried to do yesterday was point OneDrive to a folder on the USB stick that I had created, instead of to the OneDrive folder on my hard drive.

When doing so, OneDrive asked me to format the stick as NTFS, which however I did not do. It is still formatted as FAT32 at the moment.

Was this to be expected?

There's probably nothing I can do right now even if I have my original license handy? I cannot install Opus on this machine because I have no administrative rights.

Edit: Scratch that, I pulled out the USB stick and plugged it back in, and everything is working again. Thanks!
