How to automaticaly activate the panel (right or left) where the tab has been opened?

My "new button" code is:

Favorites SHOWICONS NOOPENINTABS USEQUALKEYS MULTIFUNC=tabs NEWTAB=findexisting

As far as I know, there isn't a way to make that command change which side is active.

If the other side isn't open at all, you can make it become active by turning on:

  • Preferences / File Displays / Options / Set new window to source when switching to dual file display

But that won't have an effect when it's already open.
