How to change location of config files?

I noticed that Dopus keeps all the config files in
C:\Documents and Settings<username> or \Application Data\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\

I would prefer these stored in a subfolder inside the installation folder, is it possible to change the location?

Thanks,
Peter

Not that I know of. Doing so would cause problems for non-admin users as well.

If you just want an easy way to backup/restore your settings then Opus provides a tool for doing that in a few clicks (under the Settings menu). There's no real point backing up the executables/binaries under Program Files since you have to run the Opus installer anyway to register all the DLLs properly, so the configuration files (and your licence file, and the installer if you're worried about not being able to download it for some reason) are the only things worth backing up.

thanks for the reply. You are right about non-admins, but this can be solved by setting folder permissions.
Running the Opus installer is in fact not needed, you may simply copy the installation from one machine to another and then Regsvr a couple of .dll's.
Yes I need this for easy backup. Because my past experience with built-in backup tools is entirely negative, I prefer to do this by simply archiving files which would be easier if everything is at a single place.

Presumably you have a lot of other programs' configuration data under Documents and Settings (since it's the standard location for it) so you'll need to backup that area anyway?

And while you've had 'issues' with other built in backup and restore tools... why not just check it out in Opus? It works, and I haven't found anything yet it leaves behind or forgets about...
