How to change the Task Bar icon

Hi Folks,

I use Dopus as a complete explorer replacement on vista 64.

However I can´t get used to a circle representing a folder manager. I really would like to change the icon to one which represents a folder so I don´t spend time searching the right tab in the taskbar again and again. (have 10-20 open at once mostly)

Any way to achieve this?

Thx,

You can only change the colour, not the shape.

This is unfortunate, maybe a feature in the future? Concidering all the other customizations in Dopus this would be a quite straight forward one

That icon has history, you can't just dismiss it so readily.

It would be like putting Tony Blair on Nelsons Column!

I've thought for a long time that a really valuable feature would be for the Taskbar icon to be a different colour for each lister that is open. With several listers open, they would be immediately distinguishable by the colour of the Taskbar icon.

Thus defeating the purpose of the colours representing the state of the listers.

Well there are historians, which certainly would agree, but those, if using a PC at all, would rather use the explorer due to its historic value i guess.

But I am looking for an efficient way of managing files and folders. And I am so used for "explorer like programs" to have a folder icon and I just miss the circle again and again, even in yellow, until I remember "Ah dopus uses a circle, there it is".

I can even switch the icon of the shortcut to a folder (Dopus presents here some choises itself) so why not the taskbar icon?

If you want it you should let GPSoftware know as they may not see this thread.

I think that you should just get used to it.

I can't get used to the spinner going backwards.

Just stare at it for a while and you will soon get used to it:)

Looks fine to me.

Maybe it's the coriolis effect... :stuck_out_tongue:
