How to fix the average size of a window

The question is about the situation when I restore the window to its previous size from maximize.
How can I make the window the default size every time?

Do you mean the windows opens at the desired size initially, you then resize it, then maximize it, and finally want to restore it back to the original size instead of its current size?

I think that is possible, but I want to make sure it's what you want first.

OTOH, if the problem is something else (e.g. the initial size is not what you want it to be) then that can be solved but in a different way.

When I open the Lister, I always want to see the default size

Settings > Set as Default Lister will save the current window as the new default, and also turns off Preferences / Launching Opus / Default Lister / Update Default Lister automatically when closing a Lister for you so it stays that way.
