If I click on My Computer, then C:, then Program Files, then a particular program folder, if click back, I can't go any further back then the folder that I'm currently in.

Do you mean you can't go back at all and the Back button isn't doing anything?

What tooltip do you get if you hover over the Back button?

Yes, all others work fine.

That was it - for some reason the number of recent folders was set to 1?!
But that fixed it - thanks:)
