With the space bar.
First, I must jump to a file/folder and this duty is charged by TAB key. When the above option is checked, the default task of TAB is destroyed.
Thanks
Do you mean you're trying to get to the Folder Tree after setting Tab to only cycle between file displays?
You can create another hotkey which gives the folder tree focus:
Set FOCUS=Tree
or
Set FOCUS=LeftTree
or
Set FOCUS=RightTree
No, I hate Folder Tree and I didn't use it at all.
Suppose that your mouse is out of order (Of course this is not my hope ). Before setting TAB to only cycle between file displays, when you press TAB key, a dots rectangle will be drew all round of the first file/folder in active lister (pane). Then you can use Up & Down Cursor keys for moving the rectangle and putting it on your wished file/folder. Now if you press Space key, the file/folder will be selected.
These sequences are impossible when the option is checked.

Very thanks for your mention Leo,
I define a new Shift+Tab hotkey with:
Set FOCUS=Source
and the problem was solved.
Best Regards
And another relative question:
Can I define a hotkey for toggling this option ON/OFF?
Thanks beforehand

I've always had the option on and don't see the same thing.
Are you using Power Mode? If so, does the dotted rectangle appear if you tap the Ctrl key? If it does then it's because Always in Keyboard Mode is turned off in Prefs - Lister Display Modes - Power Mode.
I don't think you can. If you want one behaviour sometimes and the other at other times then I'd recommend using two hotkeys. Leave Tab the way it is and set another one to Set SOURCE=Toggle
(Or Set FOCUS=Toggle -- I think they both do the same things these days. In the past the source and focus were not tied together but it confused people and wasn't that useful so it was changed.)
You are really the best
That was the main reason of my problem. Many tanks again.
