How to sort folders by tags and comments

Is there a way to sort by folders by using custom tags and comments in the metadata pane?

I have given folders tags and comments in the metadata, but when I activate those columns no data is shown for the folders, and sorting them by tag or comment has no effect?

(Also, is it possible to create custom metadata for folders?)

It works OK here:

Applying tags to folders can only work on NTFS drives, as it needs to use ADS metadata to store the tags. If it's a network or USB device, it may not support ADS.

I see. It is a network drive, so that must be it.
