Maybe i'm the only one, but when I want to FIND files, I don't just want the file to show up in the FIND window collection, I ALSO want to know where in the directory structure the file is located. If all I want to do is delete a file, the collection works fine. But often I want to find out where it is in the directory tree, and I can't find a way to get the FIND window to show me that information.
So I sit there staring at Opus, thinking: Great, I "found" it (it exists) but I still haven't FOUND it (don't know where in the directory structure it actually resides).
Any way to get the whole path of the file to show up in the FIND window?
Turn on the Location column (it's actually on by default for Find Results, so you may have turned it off, or maybe it's off to the right and you need to scroll to see it.)
You can also right-click a found item and choose 'Open Container' to open the folder it was found in.
The location info was just outside the window in my side-by-side Opus display. Never thought to look there. Naturally, I feel dumb - like when I search through the right section of a store without finding the thing, but the MOMENT I ask for help from a clerk, the thing becomes glaringly obvious!
Still, you just saved me hours of aggravation, cause it's not like I was going to get smarter without help!
Also, if you right-click something in a collection you should get an "open containing folder" option which is useful if you want to do stuff to other files in the same place, or the folder itself.
