Probably a really simple solution but i cannot find it. How do i turn off text labels under the icons in the top taskbar.

The taskbar is the part of Windows uses for launching and changing apps.
Do you mean toolbar instead?
None of the default Opus toolbars have labels underneath their icons (although having them there is possible). Could you post a screenshot of the thing you want to change so we can be sure we're on the same page?
Edit the toolbar buttons and there's an option for where the label should go.
You can also override the label placement for a whole toolbar at once via the Customize / Toolbars tab.
