Improvement in accuracy of OneDrive syncing icons

As a video editor, I was two months into a great job (still great, don't get me wrong) before I was subjected to the news that we were switching from DropBox to OneDrive. I'm not a fan, uploads crawl, but it's not horrible. The thing is, I recently discovered DO and found it absolutely wonderful. I'd turn around and find a new feature every ten minutes when I first started using it and think, "...Of course that's a feature."

But the icons that display whether something is synced or syncing just aren't accurate. It's really frustrating that I can't rely on them, especially since Onedrive sometimes doesn't properly display which files are still syncing. Apparently Dropbox users have similar difficulties. I'm not sure how hard this would be, though, as I'm definitely not a programmer. Thanks so much!

Turning on Preferences / File Display Columns / Options / Display extended sync attributes for cloud folders can help, although if OneDrive itself is also showing the wrong status then that may be the root cause, as the information ultimately comes from it.

Yup, I tried that. I don't think it's OneDrive because File Explorer is accurate.
