Infotip on Viewer (Image)

Is someone able to tell me where I can edit the infotip-type display that shows on the viewer when I am viewing an image and then click "View", "Show Information" - or "F1"? I have my regular infotips tweaked for hovering on an image filename, but they don't affect the infotip-type "Show Information" item in the viewer.

Basically all I want to see on the viewer "View", "Show Information" display is the filename.

I have one more problem with the viewer (my fault). In "Tools", "Customize", "Keys", I think a while back I must have removed the whole command (F1) for the shortcut to "Show Information" in the viewer (I use F1 for something else). Can someone tell me the code for that command? I tried unsuccessfully to recreate it, but haven't learned all the code for the various commands yet.

Boy, I love this software!

The viewer infotip isn't configurable (except by writing a viewer plugin).

If you want the filename I presume you're using the viewer in full-screen mode (since the filename is in the titlebar otherwise); you can use the Edit -> Tag File (Ctrl-T) option in the viewer to put a checkbox next to the file in the lister that launched the viewer, if your aim is to note the names of some files in order to do something with them later.

Having the filename in the full-screen viewer's infotip seems like a reasonable idea, though. It might be worth sending GPsoftware a feature request for that.

As for the viewer's F1 hotkey, the viewer's hotkeys aren't currently configurable like the lister's hotkeys are, so you shouldn't have been able to break the F1 hotkey. (If it's stopped working and your keyboard has the F-lock "feature", check that it hasn't been turned on by accident. My cat does that every so often, for great confusion.)

If you created a global (system-wide) F1 hotkey then this would override F1 in the viewer (as well as everywhere else).

Yes, you were correct, Leo, I was using it full screen. I discovered that I could uncheck "Auto-size viewer window", maximize the viewer (not full screen), and the viewer remembers the maximized state. That way I can see the filename in the title bar. I also discovered the feature where I can click on the bottom of the full-screen viewer to bring up the toolbar with the button to remove full screen so that I can see the filename if I need to while using the viewer full screen.

Again, thanks!

I will submit the feature request for the filename in the infotip-type display when the viewer is full screen.

You can also toggle the viewer in and out of full-screen by pushing return or by configuring one of the mouse buttons to do it.

Wow, WAY cool! Just what I needed!!!
