Use Settings -> Backup and Restore
Thanks Leo
Well, it works nicely!
Only negative was:-
It installs in the root of the drive - it would be nice if it gave an option to install in location of choice.
You can move it into any folder within USB with no problem.
What I would like to know. Now that we have this major new release, is it now possible to export to a truecrypt volume?
TrueCrypt -- Not yet. It hasn't been ruled out, we just haven't got to it yet.
First of all: sorry for my bad englisch!
In DO9 was an Option to install DO on a U3 Stick with U3 functionality. Is this option removed? Is there a way to get this option back?
Thanks.

It's still there, on 32-bit Windows. On 64-bit Windows, only a generic USB export option (not U3) is available.
AFAIK, U3 has never been produced in a 64-bit version and it has been abandoned by SanDIsk:
(U3 was supposed to be replaced by StartKey, some kind of collaboration between SanDisk and Microsoft, but nothing every materialised and it seems safe to assume that project has been abandoned, too.)
Ah, ok. My last export is generated with my old Win installation.
I know that. But my 16GB Cruzer U3 works perfect, and in the future with DO10 instead DO9
Thank you leo.

I've never used this feature but think I may this year. Does the Single Install License include this feature in it's license (I'm on 60 day trial of v10 - own v9 and v8 and probably further back)? Since I can't test this, I assume from this discussion it does more than just backup the settings - that it actually copies a version of directory opus to the usb drive so it can be ran on computers without Directory Opus installed on them (and if so will/can it copy a 32bit version if you're on a 64 bit OS)? and if so then How is that with licensing, does that mean I can take the usb drive to client sites and use it while there and have Directory Opus installed (back home) on my desktop and laptop as well?
FYI I waited till 10.0.2 to install and I am really liking v10. Doesn't seem a world different which is actually a good thing. It does seem faster loading images which is great (it was fastest I saw before but still (thumbnail mode) could drag sometimes on HUGE image folders, now seems to churn and keep up with my scrolling and all fine). Also love that when I go into a folder (nothing selected) and click sort on Modified it keeps me at the top of the lister so I'm viewing the newest folder whereas v9 would auto select first folder or something I never was at the top when clicking sort by Modified. Some nice GUI changes. It did a fantastic job of keeping my previous settings. Looks like zip and ftp integration are better (haven't used them in the past but will give it a shot now). I like the new image viewer grow option (and other settings too, auto bg color is cool). Those are the things I've noticed and appreciated looking it over this past hour since installing and testing/playing with it which got me thinking about it having USB support and got me looking at how to use that along with upgrade pricing.
The USB Export licences are optional add-ons, not included by default.
Each USB Export licence grants the right to export Opus to one USB device. (So if you only need Opus on one USB stick, you only need to buy one USB Export licence, which would be AUS $10 on top of the normal licence.)
Once exported, you can run Opus directly from the USB stick (no installation required).
You're allowed to run Opus from that USB stick on as many computers as you want. (One at a time, of course.)
If you have a 64-bit install of Opus you will be prompted when you do the export to see if you want a 32-bit or 64-bit version written to the USB stick.
