Installed 13.8, middle click on a folder in the file display pane no longer opens it in a new tab

It worked until I installed 13.8 over the latest 12.x

I also disabled Actual Window Manager from accessing dOpus,
and have restarted many times by now so I don't think it's AWM problem.

** Alt + Middle click DOES open a folder in the file display pane in a new tab !

Other middle click functionality still works -

  • Middle click any directory in the Address Bar/Breadcrumbs of the Location Bar - opens in new tab
  • Middle click any folder in my (central) folder tree - opens in new tab
  • Middle click in the file display FIELD of any folder sends it to open in the 2nd display on the other side

My settings:

Settings > File Types > All folders > Edit > "Events" tab > Middle double-click > Edit > go newtab

Turn on Preferences / File Displays / Mouse / Single middle click to trigger file and folder middle double-click events.

That's how I've had it configured since the beginning -
but isn't it odd that all the other middle click Events happen as normal?

You probably don't want "Single middle click to toggle selection state" on at the same time as "Single middle click to trigger file and folder middle double-click events".

I expect it'll work how you want if you turn that one off.
