Integrity Check

Have run up against the Integrity check problem with the couple of bouncing gif's over the screen. Have tried redownloading and re-installing goodness knows how many times. Run a full system scan with Avast and Malwarebytes and everything is clean. The problem is that there doesn't appear to be any pattern as to exactly when the integrity check fails. The program itself works great when it's working and must be one of the best (if not the best) file manager for Windows available. The trial works perfect on my 32bit laptop but the 64bit is simply a no go on my main desktop rig.

Maybe there is a program on my PC which is affecting issues but without going back to a clean reinstall (which is a bit over the top surely) then there is no way to tell. Is there a way though of protecting (via attributes) the Directory Opus files which may be triggering the integrity check issue.

That happens if you try to use an evaluation licence after running the "trial reset" hack.

A purchased licence will work, but evaluation licences will no longer work.

So the only way to overcome this is to actually purchase the software??

Indeed.

Thanks Leo. As there is a 'no return' policy after purchase I guess I'll just give this one a miss.

You get a free 60-90 day evaluation period to see if you want to buy the program. That should be enough.

The evaluation period was reset for both the recent 10.1 and 10.2 updates, too.

So I can't see any reason to run a trial reset hack, unless you had no intention of ever paying for the software.

I'm also not aware of any software which you can buy and then return after using it, let alone any which allow that in addition to the option of a two or three month free trial.

Leo, I was attempting to run a trial period prior to purchase. I did not run a hack of any description as I received a mail from Directory Opus Evaluation at 22:26 yesterday. This was applied but still the Integrity issue arose. This was my third attempt to run this software on my 64bit Win7 PC. It is running okay on my 32bit laptop but that machine is only rarely used. My reason for persevering was to ensure that I was not running any existing programs which may cause a conflict. I have spent considerable time ensuring that the files were okay as has been covered in detail elsewhere on this forum.

'....unless you had no intention of ever paying for the software....' - I take exception to this comment so I suggest we just leave matters there. It is neither helpful or constructive.

Apologies if they are needed. I assumed that was what you meant by your response to my first reply.
