Internal WAV player...feature, bug, or in between?

When I select several .wav files at the same time, then right-click and choose "Play in Directory Opus," the player opens, and plays each .wav file in order, one right after the other. If, however, I click on the stop button during playback of any of those files, then click the play button again to finish playing the file, once that file is done playing the next file is no longer loaded and started. I have to click the "next" button, which will load and automatically play the next .wav file in the list, but will again stop playback after that file.

Is there a way to be able to keep the continuous playback going after pressing the stop button and then continuing with playback? Or is this a feature?

EDIT:

It also appears to have the same effect if I click either the "next" or "previous" button during playback.

Hi Chris,
Confirmed, it does the same thing here.

I'd call it a bug.
If having to press next or previous were intentional by design,
another checkbox would be a better way to implement it.
