I can add seperators of course but having some favourites with colour would be brilliant.
Under Preferences / Colors and Fonts / Directory Opus Colors, the Files and folders: Favorites color may be what you want.
It can also depend on where we are talking about, e.g. file display, folder tree, or favorites menu.
Favourites menu.
I don't think it's possible ?
For the favorites menu, edit the menu and change the text color of the item which turns into the favorites list.
Ok. I'll check later. I only saw an option to add a hot key.
These are the items I wish to add colour to, Photos, Tools etc
Some of these items already have colour when viewed in a directory listing. The colour doesn't carry over to the Favourites list so I was wondering if the items can display colour in the favourites list. AFAIK see only separators and hot-keys can be used.
You need to edit the menu. From the main window, Settings > Customize, then open the menu where the favorites appear, right-click the item you want to edit, and choose Edit.
Sorry, I may have misunderstood. If you want different colors for different favorites (not for all of them), that isn't possible at the moment.
Thank you,
One thing you can do is make individual menu items which go to certain folders, and place those above or below the favorites themselves.
Those individual buttons can have their own color settings.
The downside would be that the folders wouldn't be in the actual favorites list (unless you don't mind the duplicate entry in the menu), but they'll be in the same menu as it, if that's the main/only way you access favorites.
Thanks for the suggestions. Sorry about delay in responding.
I'll stick with what I have and have now added some hot-keys to the favourite menu items. Thats a great feature. Don't know why I didn't do that before now.
Maybe colour will be added in the future?
