Is There A "Home" Button?

I have a drive set as the default lister.

Now, is there a button that will take me straight there?
Something like a "Home" button in web browsers.

If your home folder is, for example, D:\home, you can simply set up a button, GO D:\home.
Is that what you mean? If starting from within a tab, you can return to the first location by using
Go TABSELECT=home.

You can also use the "Go To Root":

Otherwise (navigating through drives), create your own home button using the "GO" command as abr suggested.

Thanks guys, I'll have a look.

I thought I knew how to do this, but I don't.
Can you please or someone else please guide me?

One easy way:

Open the parent of the desired folder in a lister.

Enter Customize mode. (Settings -> Customize).

Drag the desired folder to any toolbar.

Exit Customize mode via OK.

You should now have a button for the desired folder wherever you dragged the folder to when in Customize mode.

Bob, it won't let me drag it to any toolbar.

You have to be in Customize mode, as Bob said.

Another piece of info... if you have set the 'Default Lister' to open to a particular folder that you want to be your "home" folder... you can get there with the command Go /default. I've changed the default / starting folder of my default lister a few times over the years, and as I've done so - rather than have to update other buttons with new static paths - using the Go /default command instead keeps me from having to maintain additional stuff as I've made changes to my default lister.

At any rate that's the way I go - just like how <Ctrl+Spacebar> takes me to my homepage in Opera, that same hotkey takes me to my default folder in Opus...

I am.

Can you drag normal folders, or other drives?

Where are you dragging the drive from (My Computer, or somewhere else)?

From the tab bar.

Should I be dragging from the tree?

Why don´t you try it ? Anyway, instead of dragging from the tab bar, drag it from the listers
parent directory of the path you want to add to your toolbar, since you can´t drag the tabs
themselves.

Because I am not at home.

Thanks. I'll have another play around when I get home.
