Is there a pdf plugin?

tried looking at a couple regular (they open fine in adobe acrobat 8) pdf files and this is what was shown on the first few lines (as opposed to being able to actually read the documents)

Are you able to open PDFs in Internet Explorer? If not then Adobe Reader isn't installer properly or has the browser plugin that Opus relies on disabled.
