I purchased a dopus13 subscription. I currently have two machines using dopus, one is a desktop for work and the other is a laptop for study.
I have some new ideas about dopus while working, so I often update the dopus configuration, then back it up to the cloud via webdav and restore it from the cloud with my laptop when I get home.
Is there a script that can automatically implement this process: I back up from my desktop, and when I get home, I open my laptop and start dopus, and it automatically detects whether there is a latest backup. If there is, it automatically updates so that I don't have to do it manually every time
I have thought of something similar long ago.
The situation is kind of like a NASA planetary rover awaiting new instructions.
One question that arises Is whether the filename unique or a dated filename.
Whatever program fetches this file to the client has to wait for the possibly problematic download.
At the time I was using Kermit command line shell to output ASCII to a robotics motor controller.
All I needed was a small circuit board to translate serial port 12V to 5V TTL. It was only a couple of transistors and resistors. I still have it. It worked, but I abandoned the idea long ago.
Perhaps there is a good answer to your question these days.
I'm curious as well.
Thanks for asking.
