I might have tried this before with no luck.
The following works to show images as thumnails. Problem is folders also show up as images. I would prefer folders to have the detail look. Is there a way?
Go \aux\y\photo\ view=thumbnails
Set VIEWPANE=Toggle
You mean you want a mixture of Details mode (for the folders at the top of the list) and Thumbnails mode (for everything else in the list), within the same window?
You could do that with a dual-display window where one file display shows only the folders (in Details mode) and the other file display shows only the files (in Thumbnails mode). Using the new Tab Linking features in the latest beta version, you could make the two file displays follow each other around as well.
If you want that combination in a single file display, not just a single window, then there is no way to do that; each file display can only be in one mode (Details or Thumbnails, not both).
(Maybe I have misunderstood, though: Where does the viewer pane come into this?)

I would use a Viewer Window with this.
I see that I can only hope for a rewarding future, update.
sometimes when I sit on a topic start to really so difficult I make things, for help to understand. I'm using a dual Lister that has the thumbnail on top and the detail on the bottom. To the right I have the Viewer Pane. when I select an image, detail or thumbnail, it changes the viewer pain which is great.
I was hoping that as same move about within the thumbnail or viewer pain that the corresponding record, thumbnail or viewer pain, would be displayed.
Example: if I go down in the detail view about 100 or 200 records and select one it will also be displayed in the Viewer Pane. I was hoping to have the thumbnail images move to the corresponding thumbnail, that currently is not in the thumbnail image view. the best way to say it would be that the thumbnail and detail images are locked together and when you select either one they will also display in the Viewer Pane.
So the problem is basically syncing the thumbnail & detail so when a selection is made your looking at a display of three images that are linked together.
I have been able to display all three using the Dual tree display. I never used it this way till opus 11. The Display, thumb and viewer don't link together. But at least I see them all.
