Is there any way to disable loading collections on Opus startup? But not deleting them, as I need them. Just disable autoload and make them load only when I actually browse to them.
I have large network folder that is often offline, but I want to browse the contents anyway. Collection is great for this, but it adds like 30 seconds to startup.
In Opus 13 collections are loaded in the background, so shouldn't slow down startup at all.
Doesn't seem like this to me because it shows pop-up with loading and won't allow to open lister until it ends.
A screenshot of the main window and pop-up when it happens might help understand what's happening.
This shows up on system startup and won't let me open lister.
TPB version? )))))
What? No, it's not pirated. Even if it was, would this make this much difference in collections behaviour? xD
Try adding the collections in Preferences / Folders / Automatic Reading.
Nope, still the same. Tried with adding single collection, and whole File Collections folder, with "prevent loading", and "load on tab activation", that didn't change anything.
I've got this before, randomly. Not only only at start up, also from a cold start if I exit dopus.
Not sure but I think it delays and shows this if my drives have gone to sleep in the background.
I've a few large collections of media. It will say on that popup until the drive is awake and read.
That's not the case for me. I was reading data from this folder 30 seconds ago, than started Opus, and popup showed up again.
Ok seems I got it. It's Windows Defender fault, looks like it's scanning collections almost every time Opus is launching, as I saw cpu activity on Defender process. Adding C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\Collections
to scan exclusions fixes the problem.
