Issue with viewer on USB-version

I use DO on a USB-HDD, which has got a write-protection. Since v12 when viewing a picture I got a warning-message that the drive is write-protected and collection ("selected pics") can't be saved.

How to disable DO writing to that collection?

Turn off Preferences / Viewer / Behavior / Save marked images to a file collection.

I'd expect a lot of things to not work if the settings directory is write-protected. (Turning off that setting is another one  ) It might make sense to use the "USB dongle" option and then copy Opus to a temp folder and run it from there instead, if the system lets you do that. Then you can make config changes, including creating file collections.

DO really works fine in protection-mode (except above issue I have none), e.g. it also can't update the "system.off", which kills my aliases for the tabs on update (because the will be resolved in real paths).

If internet-connection will be fast here in Germany I'll store DO on a VPN- or Webdav-server and use a dongle. But I'm afraid that won't happen that soon.
