I've done that... now should I see a tab for that layout when DO opens?
'Cause I don't, even though the layout is there, and it continues to open the same one as before....

I´m not quite sure what your asking for . It is supposed to open the right lister for you, not a tab. Did you mean some new lister style?
Have a look in -> Settings -> Preferences -> Lister -> Styles.
Is your custom style there? If so, you could make a button to chose that style with one klick.

You're right... the tab is a separate issue...
But why can't I get the lister to be the one that opens as my "default"?

As i said, check out if all things are set right in
-> Settings -> Preferences -> Launching Dopus -> Startup
In -> Autostart -> "open saved Lister layout" the setting should be set to your desired layout. Same applies to the "from desktop" & "from task bar" settings. Here could be the reason maybe.

I open the application using the Windows Key + "e" combination (I hold down the key with the windows icon and the letter "e" at the same time). This is a shortcut to Windows Explorer that I have used for years. But, when I do this I cannot get my saved lister to load.
Due to changes I made in "Preferences > Launching Opus" my saved lister loads when I double click the taskbar icon or when I first launch the app, but not when I use this keyboard shortcut.
Win-E is they keyboard shortcut for My Computer, so it will always launch My Computer. If Opus is replacing Explorer then it will launch My Computer within Opus.
