Under XP, if a command button has a label, it can´t be hidden by unchecking the "show label" box.
The label remains & can be only removed by clearing the "label" field. Seems like this is not
intended to work that way.
Labels can be forced on or off for the entire toolbar, in the Customize window, which overrides the settings on the individual buttons.
Hmm, i see. But i wonder, in which case the checkbox would make sense then, because we have
no neutral state (global labels for a toolbar can be either on or off).
Global labels for a toolbar can be on, off, or default, in which case the flag from each individual button is respected.
I have missed that third setting, sorry. So we do have a "neutral" setting. Thank you both.
