Lagging to open

In the last few months or so DO is taking a very long time to open. At least 30 - 60 seconds, sometimes I use that time to get a drink XD

Would anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this slow down or what I should check for? This happens regardless of any external drives being accessed.

Do you have many or large collections? Try deleting the ones you don't need anymore.
