I have “upgrade” to 11

I noticed that even after set the preferences (on my understanding there is the place to do this); I chose to open the lister on the last folder opened…

… but always the lister open to the default C:\

How to make opus to open on the last folder opened?

Please let us know which options are selected in the pages below Preferences / Launching Opus.

Also, how are you opening the new windows? And how are the old ones closed (e.g. closed normally with Opus still in the background, or a full program exit, or only closed when the PC is rebooted?)

Default Lister In a fixed position….
Explorer replacement (option2)
Desktop bring the last active lister to the front
Taskbar bring the last active lister to the front
Startup open the lister that were open when the program was last closed

But I tried different combinations and still reset to the default C:\ drive

Also, how are you opening the new windows? <<<
Using double click on screen or by the Icon

And how are the old ones closed<<<

Closed on the upper right X

And I do a full program exit (so it won't remains in memory).

I think you just need to turn on Preferences / Launching Opus / Default Lister / Update Default Lister automatically when closing a Lister.
