I am trying to launch an external command via a button. No problem there, but I would like to include {description} in the command line taken from the descript.ion file. Is there any way to do that?
Currently there is not a way to do this with Opus that I am aware of (feature request time?) however if the program you happen to be sending to is 4NT, then 4NT can extract the descript.ion description from the file name you send it.
I know that's not the answer you were looking for but it's the best I could come up with at the moment. 
Thanks, I'll just write a python routine to do what I need and grab the info from descript.ion
I understand. As powerful as Opus is, I also still find occasions when to do exactly what I want, I need to resort to using another scripting environment. In my situation it's usually 4NT or VBScript.
Can the description be copied to the clipboard?
