I have two quick questions I'm hoping someone can answer. I did a bunch of poking around in the DO settings but didn't find anything.
First, is there a way to increase the size of the navigation arrows (forward, back, up) in a lister header?
Second, when I sort a document lilst in Windows Explorer when I have a file selected, the selected file stays visible in the sorted result list. This is not the case in DO, and afer sorting, I have to go hunting for the selected file. Is there a way to emulate the Windows Explorer behavior?
Thanks, and sorry for the multiple questions in one.
For the navigation buttons, I'm talking about the ones highlighted in the attached image. If there's not a way to enlarge these, perhaps consider this an enhancement request.
Looks like you're using custom icons for those. The size is determined by the icons (and scaled by DPI, but if you only want to change those icons and not the size of everything else, then the icons themselves need to be swapped for larger ones).
Depending on the icon set (some only have one size, some have large and small), you may also be able to edit the buttons and change the image size:
Hmmm. I wasn't aware I was using custom icons, although I do think I recall moving them from their original location (on the right side of the path I think). Unless they somehow got inherited from the OS. But I'll look at your suggestion and see what can be changed. How do I navigate to that command editor?
You're correct: I do have a bunch of custom icons installed, and I had forgotten. They seem to support 20x20 and 32x32, but I'm not clear where this size would be adjusted.
Alternatively, I assume by deleting these from Toolbars > Icons, I would revert to the default Icons. If I were to do so, would they be able to be enlarged? I have a set there called "Internal Set (Flat)" Are these the default set?
20x20 and 32x32 are the normal small and large icon sizes for standard DPI. (In high DPI, there are larger images too, but those aren't important here.)
A quick way to switch the whole toolbar to using the large size:
Settings > Customize Toolbars and Keys
Select the File Display toolbar in the list on the left
On the right, change the Image Size dropdown from Default to Large.
That overrides the settings for individual buttons, so you don't need to edit each button one by one.
