Lister Styles, Flat View & File Filter

Hi,

I am trying to make a Lister Style, called "TV Downloads" with the following features:

Left Pane: My incoming newsgroup folder (E:\Incoming) with flat view and that shows only .avi or .mkv files. (Flat View because each new download gets constructed into its own folder, courtesy of NewsLeecher's Repair 'n Extract.)

Right Pane: My Sorting folder where everything gets stored.

The right pane works fine, as does the left, showing the proper directory. However, I cannot get the flat view to default when I click on the Lister Style's tab, nor can I get the filter to work.

Under Preferences, I go to Listers > Styles and select the "TV Download" style from the list. At the bottom section, I check "Flat View" and select "Mixed (No Folders)", along with the default folder and an extra tab (which work fine).

I go to Format, check it, and click "Edit", go to the "Filters" tab, check "Show Filter" and add "*.(avi|mkv)" under filename.

Neither of these two steps I'm taking seems to work, as I have no filter and I have standard folder view.

Format Lock is checked and "Off". I'm not exactly sure what this does, but changing it solves nothing.

Can anyone help? I'm sure there is some simple thing I'm forgetting, but I'm going bonkers here. I appreciate any help rendered

I confirm the problem with Flat View (Mixed No Folders) not working properly with styles. I've reported it to GPSoftware.

For the filter problem, since your style is creating folder tabs you need to edit the format of the tabs individually. In the Styles editor, click the Tabs button, select the tab you want to filter and click the Edit Format button at the top.

(The user interface for styles-with-tabs can be confusing for sure.)
