Locked file and network location

  1. When operation on locked file is invoked, dialog that says so often looks like this (text isn't refreshed):

img843.imageshack.us/img843/7742/dopus.png

  1. If locked file is on network share, it is incorrectly reported that it's locked by dopus.exe (I'm aware that DOpus doesn't know who locks it on remote machine).

  2. For example, I have network share displayed in lister. I double click on the tab to create another one. Initially, that new file listing is empty and it says at the top 'this network folder has not been loaded automatically because of...'. That's nice feature. However, it seems that you actually do access that location anyway since breadcrumbs popup actually already has all directories from that location. Seems a bit inconsistent.

  1. We've never seen this here, if you can find a way to reproduce it please give us some more infromation
  2. I suspect this has been fixed in the most recent beta (10.0.5.1) if you want to try it.
  3. No, the breadcrumbs popup reads the folders when you actually click the arrow - it doesn't read them in advance.

Nothing special, actually. It was file locked on a network path. I just have to press 'r' few times and it happens about once in 5 tries.

Note that I haven't noticed similar in other dialogs or in other applications. When I encounter similar in my projects; often helps playing with ws_clipchildren/siblings or ws_ex_transparent.

Ah, tnx for the info, but I have to skip betas until you make upgrade which does not require restart. I've already complained about this few years ago and I was told it's impossible to do so. I still disagree.

OK, but if you successfully read the folder, then you can also automatically refresh lister.

Refreshing the file display potentially involves a lot more than just reading the list of items. (e.g. You might have the md5 column showing.)

If you want to refresh the file display there are several ways to do it. Opening the breadcrumbs menu just isn't one of them.
