In the windows 7 explorer window it automatically hides drives / removable slots if they are empty.
Here is a pic to demonstrate. I have a few empty drives that are not shown in explorer but are shown in dopus. Is there a way to remove these and have them show up only when they are used, e.g. when cdrom is insert, sd/cf card insert etc.
I did see a few topics on editing my "GO DRIVEBUTTONS" command. However I did a bit of searching and I can't seem to find out where this option resides.
I did a cursory search on GO RAW commands etc but it kinda does seem to talk from the point as if I knew how to edit these features in the first place. I'm just not sure where to actually edit this command?
If you chose "customize" from your options (or per chosing it from a right click in an empty area of your tool bar) you can see change your drive buttons into a square field. That´s the placeholder, which represents the drive buttons.
If you chose that field & (per right click) select "edit", you will see the current command, that will basically be GO DRIVEBUTTONS. You only have to append ",hidempty" part, confirm & it should work.
What Abr's describing will only hide empty drives in lists that are displayed on toolbars and menus. It doesn't have any effect on the folder tree.
At the moment there isn't a way to hide empty drives from the tree.
