I have this weird issue where *.mka files are getting rated 5 stars automatically in the extended properties. I mean they're great albums and i'm glad Opus agrees but it's a little strange.
(it's a normal mkv file but without video track)
It's impossible to change, because it will just be 5 stars again upon refresh.
Changing the extension back to *.mkv makes it possible to get rid of the rating.
I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary in File Type actions or events etc.
File Explorer properties do not show a rating.
Shown in Opus' metadata pane, metadata popup, and file column.

Note that mka ratings aren't currently supported at all. (I misread the thread as bout about .m4a earlier.) But there was a bug where unsupported fields in audio metadata could display garbage data for formats which Opus doesn't know about, where the Windows shell is asked to get the information for us. (Same issue also affected some of the other fields for mka.)
With the fix, it will show no rating at all instead of a random one for mka files.
(I'm not sure if the Windows shell supports ratings in them. It didn't seem to work when I tried setting one, but it's possible I used the wrong tag, as Mp3Tag offered multiple types of rating tags for mka when I tried to set one. Edit: In fact, I don't know if the shell supports mka files at all, but it probably also depends on what audio software is installed, as things can add properties handlers to extend its support.)
I don't think it's really supposed to work ID3 tags.
MKA is normally used for hi-res audio tracks from blu-ray and such, and multichannel surround in particular. Like DTS-HD Master Audio, or Dolby TrueHD. It makes playback easier, allows adding chapters. All the things a regular MKVideo can.
But you can drop almost anything in there with MKVToolNix. I added an MP3 because it's small.
Adding an image as attachment will even display it as a sort of cover art in MPC-HC.
