Move files into DO from Chrome's (or Windows) Save as dialog

Hello Leo,

My use case is adjusting names, one by one, of downloaded papers (PDFs) from sites such as Google Scholar before moving them into a folder with around 6900 existing files. Default format starts with author's (or authors) last name. DOpus vastly speeds up my checking for duplicates and finding specific documents.

For years I mostly tried to edit each downloaded filename in the Windows Save dialog box. My 79-year-old eyes can no longer tolerate tiny font character that Windows insists are adequately legible.

My planned approach, unless you suggest a more refined solution, is to download each new PDF file into the standard Directory Opus Downloads folder where font size is user adjustable and therefore more legible for me. Perform edits then let DO move revised PDF filenames to one of several subject folders.

I can stop dreaming about DO repalcement for Windows dialog popup panels.

That approach seems reasonable.

You can also increase font sizes system-wide by changing the scale factor/percentage via Settings > Display in Windows.

Thanks for confirming, Leo. General size increase in Windows, in my experience, rarely affects the working font size for Save or Save as. Directory Opus is far superior for editing and display.
