if I use the dialog box to search/filter files on a window, and then move those files to a destination. It only works if i keep the search filter active. If I search and queue multiple moves, it looks like it's queuing the files. But when the search filter is showing the files different from the original search which was the basis of the queued move, it fails.
Hmm, yes, it's because the files are added to the copy queue under their collection paths, which aren't resolved until they're needed. If they've been removed from the collection in the meantime it's like the files don't exist any more.
This is probably something we can improve in the future.

Makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply. It would be a good enhancement for the future. The solution now is to perform one search/move at a time without changing the filter until it completes.
