Hi I am getting videos in mts format from people in rwanda, portugal and china. None of them can be viewed in the quick view pane - i just get a thumbnail. I have dopus 11.19, and windows7. they can be viewed in lightroom and windows media player. Will dopus 12 fix this? or is there something i need to fix on my computer? thanks!
Try adding .mts to the Opus Movie viewer plugin (Preferences / Viewer / Plugins).
If that doesn't work, try disabling the Movie plugin, then configure the ActiveX + Office + Preview + Web plugin and assign .mts to either the Windows Media Player preview handler or to the Generic ActiveX (32-bit) line.
i did not even realize it was possible to click on the various plugins and configure them. adding .mts to the move plugin did not work, but adding it to the activex + preview etc did work. adding it the windows media player would have forced me to click on each movie but when i added it the generic activex 32 bit line it worked perfect. Thank you!. im a bit surprised since i have a 64 bit system. but no point in arguing with success.
Adding it to the 64-bit line may also work, but there are separate 32-bit and 64-bit video decoders and, at least before recently, the 32-bit ones were still most likely to work as more things used them. (Not sure if that is still the case.)
