Multiple editions of the same version

I’ve noticed this on older editions, but I couldn’t find if the question was answered.

For instance, the Directory Opus 12.12 installer was published in at least 3 editions signed by GP Software:

  • 2019-01-‎18 06:25:07
  • 2019-01-20 04:16:30
  • 2019-01-21 21:19:39

What changed and are we supposed to update our version ? And if not, why are the installers replaced? I’d like to understand.

It's to get out fixes ASAP. They'll also be in future beta and stable releases and the release notes for those.

Sometimes it's also to update translations and similar.

You don't need to update unless you're running into a problem, in which case we'll mention it in the forum thread(s) about that problem. (It doesn't hurt to update either, if you want to, but the same changes will be in later releases as well.)
