I'm probably really dense and missing something. Sorry. I have a series of folders located in the root of the C: drive. What I would like to do is have a lister that shows only those folders, and then be able to do a flat view on the of those folders all at once. I've tried favorites and collections but that doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any good ideas? or can point me in the right direction? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
You can use Flat View along with a filter on which folders are shown.
Flat View folder filtering is disabled by default as it confuses many people, but you can turn it on via Prefs / Misc. / Advanced: flatview_folder_filters. Just remember that all files and sub-folders within a filtered-out folder will also be filtered out.
Thanks Leo! Using that setting I was able to create a favorites group adding the folders to it, and then use the flat view. Perfect.
How do I setup a lister that just shows those folders?
Well, I thought it was working, but, no. So, let me rephrase:
In the root of the C: drive I have several folders:
C:\Temp
C:\Utils
C:\Data
I want to create a lister that shows only them, and then do a flat view on them all at once, including all their sub-folders.
Any ideas? What am I missing?
