In ver.9, users can set the naming rule for shortcuts in Preferences, but I can't find the setting in ver.10. Why?
I also couldn't find this option so I edited my buttons and the context menu entries to do "copy makeshortcut AS "{file|noext}.lnk". This will remove the "- shortcut" in the names.
To edit the context menu go to "Settings=>Filtetypes=>All files and folders" and edit the entry Actions=>"Drag-and-Drop + ctrl".
The rightclick-Drag-and-Drop can be edited if you choose the right tab in this menu ("Ausklappmenü" in german) as shown in the screenshot.
Thank you for the trick. However, I wish this setting will be available again in future version.
I agree with you.
I'm sure there are thousands of users who doesn't like to have any addendum in their shortcut names. It's very annoying if you have to delete it manually all the time. I understand that DOpus follows the Standard behaviour of Windows 7 but there should be an easy to handle option to swtch this.
This didn't quite work for me, as it would want to put the shortcut in the adjacent lister (in dual view) or ask for a destination (in single lister view). I changed it to this:
copy makeshortcut AS "{file|noext}.lnk" HERE
It works.
It also works for me without "HERE" but it doesn't hurt to add it.
