Is it common for Directory Opus to not report the size and free space of a NAS drive? I have a Drobo 810n and it is not reported correctly in Directory Opus. In fact, it reports more free space than the reported NAS size. Thanks.
Opus just reports what Windows says the size is. Windows in turn reports what the NAS claims its size is.
What do you see in File Explorer for the same location?
Thanks for the reply Leo. It answered the question. File Explorer (which I haven't used since I started with DO years ago) reports the same. It is strange that Windows does that. Again, thanks. Jerry
From a quick web search, it seems to be a common issue with Drobo NAS, affecting OS X as well as Windows.
A lot of NAS devices have strange behaviors and omissions in how much or how well they implement the SMB protocol. One reason I prefer to use an old Windows PC as my NAS.
