Need help opening url links via lister (single ie8 browser)

Does anyone know what could be causing the following?

Problem:
One out of four opus machines isn’t opening urls using the same ie8 browser window like the others.

All four machines have the same ie8 settings; however, there are differences with opus settings.

I have made the appropriate registry and ie8 setting changes telling all external url links to always use the same browser window but it has no effect on opening url links from within opus for only one of the opus machines.

Again, this is affecting only one opus machine, the other opus machines are working fine in this regard.

Also, this is only from within a lister window, not explorer or any other external link location like word, excel, etc.

So, opus can obviously work fine in this manner. But for some reason, it isn’t for only one machine with all the same ie8 settings as the others.

I’m hoping someone knows of a setting within opus that may have an effect on this anomaly?

Any help appreciated!

You didn't mention if you are on XP or other. Your profile says XP so I'll try to help with that info.

This is how to set it so they open in new windows. Instead of UNchecking DDE (like it says), I'd make sure yours is checked.

Just a shot in the dark

Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately, it “is” checked. When "not" it “does” force all links from any location to always open a new browser session; "I wish that was my need”. As you know, I need the opposite. I'm hoping it's a setting in opus being it's the only source that’s doing this. Ironically, it’s also the only source I want to open links from.

Opus "just" launches the URL "or" runs "the" command you tell it to run"." What happens after "that" is up to the "web" browser and its configuration and registry settings "on your" machine.

Luckily this is working fine with FF. I just can't have my cake and eat it too!!!

In Opus’s defense … I do mess with the registry quite a bit, therefore, succumb to the consequences here and there!

Appreciate the help!
