Network Button

I installed Opus 9 and I was trying to modify the look and it’s not working as I hoped. Customised toolbar added network link but when clicking on it opens in a explorer window and not in opus.

Function = IDL:?AAAAFAAfWA0aLPAhvlBDiLBzZ/yW7zwAAA==
What am I doing wrong!
:unamused:

Do you mean a button for a VPN connection? Then type the follwing commands in Advance window:

rasphone -d Server
Go \Server\Share

where Server is a name of your VPN server and Share ia a name of shared folder on this server. If connection is slow you can get a message that a network path is not found. In this case press "Retry" button.

Best regards,

Toller

Sorry no what I am trying to do is add the network link within windows see picture. But when I click the button it opens it in an explorer window and not in opus, I also use dual panels and have two tools bars for left and right so there is two network buttons 1 for left panel 1 for the right clicking on either will open the network list in the r/l panel

Just create a button using:Go /network

.
I see this is a rather old post but yet, I still have the same problem with DO 10.

I created a drop-down menu button and populated it with individual drive letter buttons, one for each NAS drive that is connected to my local network.
Now, when I click any of the buttons it opens the drive in a Windows Explorer window and NOT in Opus where I would like it to show.
I tried the offered suggestion, but all it did is that it opens all my network drives in a single Opus window.

My question is:
What do I have to do so that my individual network drives open in OD in a new windows just like all other links do - and NOT in WinExplorer.

I know this is not a great nor important matter, but still I would like the drives to show/open in Opus Directory,

Thank you and Happy Holidays and prosperous New Year!

What commands do the existing buttons run?

If they run Go "" then the path will open in Opus.

You can also have Opus automatically generate a list of drive buttons (optionally filtered by type of drive or including/excluding specific drive-letters) using the Go DRIVEBUTTONS command, which you'll find examples of on the Drives toolbar that comes with Opus.

The individual commands are as follows for these 5 drives :

cd \diskstation
\diskstation\

==
cd \DLINK-622F58
\DLINK-622F58\

=
cd \NSA320
\NSA320\

cd \Pro
\Pro\

cd \LK64
\LK64\

I used the buttons you suggest here but they are not producing the desired results.
Does this help?

A command like Go "\diskstation" (on its own) should work.

Leo,

Thanks for the quick solution of this matter. Your suggestion works great.
Again, many thanks.
