This might not be an Opus problem, but I need help!
I installed Bitdefender and Network Discovery stopped working. Discovered it was due to the firewall so I opened the firewall for all ports on any computer on the local network. Then I could see 4 machines, including this one, but there are 5 machines. Using one of the other machines, it shows all 5 computers + my printers. The difference is on this machine (windows 8.1 pro 64-bit) the only workgroup showing is HULSE5617. The 4 computers on the workgroup show up. The one computer on WORKGROUP does not show up here, but does showup on my Win 7 Pro 64-bit system. Win7 Workgroup dropdown in Opus shows three workgroups: HULSE5617, WORKGROUP and Unassigned (which is where the printers show up.) On the Win 8.1 system there is only one workgroup in the list, HULSE5617 and only those computers show up.

There are connectivity problems too that weren't there before, but let's solve this issue first.
Opus does not handle that folder itself (you can tell by the grouping drop-downs in the header control shown in your screenshot). It's delegated to the Windows shell, i.e. Explorer.
You'll probably see the same things in Explorer, although it's possible the firewall software is treating Opus and Explorer differently, and it's also sometimes the case that the network enumerator in Windows returns & caches different results in different processes (and in the same process across reboots).
All of this is outside of Opus's control, and not anything Opus is directly involved in.
Turns out if I turn bitdefender's firewall OFF completely then everything shows up fine. Apparently the rule I made was either not accepted or is incorrect. It showed the workgroup HULSE5617 for awhile, but then (oddly) reverted to showing nothing but my local machine. Turning the firewall OFF completely (again) then allows everything to show.
I will be calling Bitdefender now. Their interface is anything but user friendly.
