New DOpus10 help file

When using DOpus10 help file I noticed that many useful thing were removed.
First of all, there's no index. I need to use search to find what I need.
Secondly, I can't find many topics that were there in Opus9. For example: "copy - raw command" (and other raw commands).

It's not finished yet, like it says at the top of most pages. The GPSoft site has an online version of the Opus 9 manual to fill in the gaps for now.

We'd hoped to have the manual finished by now but have been too busy making code changes based on people's feedback. Hopefully things will settle down soon.

i am crossing fingers to see it out this year (2011), maybe even before winter, that'd be great!!
Thanks for all the hard work, and good luck with progress on the docs and tuts!

Opus 10 itself has only been out a few weeks. It's a bit premature to start implying the finished manual might take 7 months. Give us some credit. :frowning:

lol leo.
lol because i really dont know in which direction you mean your comment. ("we'd need far less than 7 months" vs. "we'd need much more than 7 months"). i would think that writing docs could take long (like months) .. so "before 2012" is a careful (and meant generous) estimate from my patient part
i can wait. The included DO9 help file works for me too. I am a slow reader ggg.
i'll be very glad to see it anytime this year. No offense or premature conclusions intended or in mind, seriously. (you just got me wrong, no prob.)

You might like to look at an earlier discussion of this:

Any ETA on the Directory Opus 10 manual?

Among other things, it shows you how to find some of the gaps that you indentify.
