this may not be a Dopus question but ...
when i right click in a folder and select
New ...
i don't see text file as an option
i think i used to
any idea how to put that back?

Did you remove it using TweakUI or a similar tool?

You can use this Opus command to create new text files if that's easier:

FileType NEW=.txt

i guess it did now that i think about it, i was having rt click issues w/ Dpous and used shexview to clean up a bunch of context handlers

wonder how i can get it back ?
