No pdf visible in viewer

Hello , Out of the blue (since two days) the PDF files are not readable in the viewer, I adjusted as is described in previous help assistence answers the viewer, but it does not make a difference, some pdf files are just the PDF logo and other are unreadable jibberisch,

What could it be?

Reinstall your PDF viewer. That usually fixes them.

If it still doesn't work, is it the same in File Explorer's preview pane?

What did you change exactly?
