Non-removable entry in context menu > new

I usually delete most entries in "context menu > new" except "new text file".

When opening in DO there's an entry left for "Rich Text Format" (.rtf), that doesn't appear in Explorer/Desktop/...

I believe this entry must be stored in DO-config. I installed some new Vista-computers and it appears only on the two machines where DO ist installed on.

Anybody has got an idea?

These all come from the registry - it would be under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.rtf\ShellNew.

Thank you, that removed the entry - but why was it only shown in DO?! :confused:

No idea - the rules that Explorer uses to determine what to display in the New menu aren't publicly available, so we have to guess :slight_smile:
