I have previously reported, that in many cases the file properties are not displayed for inexplicable reasons.
There seemed to be a solution, but this was not the case.
The following test:
4 music folders with FLAC files. They are all in the same folder.
I open these folders in the Flatview view. Some have properties; others do not.
So far I have helped myself by copying the files or changing their names. Then the properties are displayed.
So far I have also been able to copy and paste the files with CTRL-C and CTRL-V in the Flatview view. Then a -copy was added to the file name as usual and the file is in the same folder as the original.
Now I copy the files and they are not pasted into the same folder, but into the folder from which I opened the flat view. Is that what you want?
If so, in my opinion this is bad, because I now have to move the files to the correct folder.
Example:
(Image 1) I open these four folders in the flat view.
(Image 2) Here you can see the missing properties for some files. I select the files 01-10 of the album 202Four, copy them and paste them again.
(Image 3) This is immediately noticeable: The properties are suddenly there, but the names are identical and the path length is shorter.
(Image 4) If I switch the flat view off again, it looks like this.
I now have to move the copied files back into the correct folder.
This is not a problem with one folder. But sometimes I copy a few hundred files. And that makes too much work.
